Inspiration
Iris is a special species of flower with 3 petals, 3 calyxes and 3 stigmatic lips.Seeing the botanical trait of iris, we can tell that its figure is unique and highly recognizable. We epitomize the shape of iris and illustrate it into a piled pattern of 3 layers, each with 3 petals, which conveys a sense of layering and vintage, and also symbolizes a spirit of the enterprise.
Creativity
The glass bottle of minimalist style is matched with a light golden cap of iris. The flower is shining and sparkling in the middle of the crystal acrylic cylinder. Iris is a spiritual symbol of the enterprise, because of which we try to keep the figure concrete so as to maximize the value of the brand. We create the figure inside the cap based on the three petals, calyxes, and stigmatic lips in each flower, and pile it up into a tridimensional model in a decussate way.
Design Challenges
The acrylic iris shape inside the crystal cap is difficult to realize as we want it reflect light from every angle and looks shiny all the time. But after many tests and negotiations with the factory, we finally make it work with the technique of injection-moulding. Another challenge is that the effect of the paper printed with the technique of hot pressing was not ideal so we had to do numerous tests.
Production Technology
The bottle is produced with thick glass and a high-quality case so as to strengthen the feeling of preciousness and rarity. And the glass is Soda-Lime Glass which is blown with IS technology.
